Nour in Stockholm makes its debut on 50 Best Discovery

Nour has been selected for 50 Best Discovery, an international guide highlighting exceptional restaurants, bars, hotels and wineries around the world. The recognition marks another achievement for the restaurant, which has held one Michelin star since 2022.

Nour in Stockholm has been included in 50 Best Discovery, a carefully curated digital guide created by 50 Best. The platform brings together recommended restaurants, bars, hotels and wineries from more than 800 cities and destinations worldwide. As part of this year’s update, more than 650 new establishments have been added to the guide, including over 210 restaurants.

Selection for 50 Best Discovery is based on votes from 50 Best’s international expert academies, consisting of more than 3,000 members with in-depth knowledge of their local restaurant, bar, hotel and winery scenes. The platform serves as an extension of 50 Best’s global and regional lists.

For Nour, the recognition represents international acknowledgement of the restaurant’s identity, where contemporary Nordic gastronomy meets clear influences from Japan. The restaurant is run by restaurateur Sayan Isaksson and is located in Townhouse Nosh and Chow on Norrlandsgatan in Stockholm. Nour was awarded its first Michelin star in 2022 and has retained it ever since.

At Nour, Nordic ingredients, Japanese precision and a conscious, long-term sustainable approach to cooking are at the centre. Influences from Thailand, Hong Kong and the Middle East also shape the restaurant’s identity, inspired by Sayan’s travels and experiences. The dining room accommodates 26 guests across several rooms, creating an intimate setting where fine dining is combined with a warm, open and generous atmosphere.

“A visit to the restaurant should feel like stepping into someone’s home. At Nour, you are met with the same warmth, generosity and hospitality,” says Sayan Isaksson.

Sayan Isaksson is one of Sweden’s most accomplished chefs, with two Olympic gold medals as part of the Swedish Culinary Team, the Gastronomic Academy’s gold medal and the Chef of Chefs award. He also created the starter and main course for the Nobel Banquet in 2015 and 2016, and is behind several acclaimed restaurants, two of which have been awarded Michelin stars.
