Swedish Masterchef semi-finalist Hedvig Henrekson at Nour

On April 21st, we had the honor of welcoming a very special guest, Hedvig Henrekson, known for her impressive third-place finish in the prestigious competition, Sweden’s Masterchef. Hedvig’s cooking has won hearts and taste buds across the country, and her dishes are known for their flavor, warmth, balance, and energy. She was at Nour on a Sunday, preparing Danish sandwiches for over 300 eager guests.

Hedvig, who recently returned to Sweden after spending five inspiring years in Copenhagen, brings with her a treasure trove of experiences and flavors from Denmark. If you ask her about the two best things she brought back from Denmark, the answer will be Flæskesteg sandwich and Danish remoulade sauce. These two culinary gems have been a source of inspiration for Hedvig and our own Sayan, who together crafted two exclusive sandwiches for the event on April 21st.

The first sandwich is a tribute to the classic Flæskesteg sandwich, but with a unique twist. Imagine juicy pork with wonderfully crispy crackling. This composition was complemented by sweet-sour red cabbage, a creamy dijonaise, and lightly pickled cucumber.

The second sandwich offered that day was inspired by the Danes’ beloved national dish, plaice with remoulade sauce. Sayan and Hedvig’s interpretation included crispy fish in perfect harmony with a flavorful curry remoulade, accompanied by the same pickled cucumber that adds a fresh contrast to the deeper flavors.

This day at Nour was not just an opportunity to enjoy exceptional food, but also a chance to gather friends and family for a pleasant time together.

We at Nour are very excited to share this special day with you here. It was an evening where we, along with our guests, experienced cooking that combines the best of Swedish and Danish cuisines, presented by one of Sweden’s rising stars in cooking.

Tareq Taylor Riesling Wine Launch

Tareq Taylor, one of Sweden’s most beloved television personality, chose Nour as the venue to launch his Riesling Wine during a special event.

Made famous for his appearances on TV programs like “Tareq Taylor’s Nordic Cookery,” SVT’s “Matresan,” and “Trädgårdstider,” we recieved Tareq and guests at Nour. In 2017, he not only emerged victorious in “Kockarnas Kamp” (Chefs’ Battle, a famous Swedish TV-show) but also received the accolade of “Best Malmö Ambassador” in the same year. The year 2021 witnessed Tareq clinching two “Kristallen” awards, including the prestigious title of “TV Personality of the Year.” During that same remarkable year, he took on the honorable role of hosting SVT’s Christmas special.

Nour was privileged to host the launch event for Tareq Taylor’s Riesling Wine, thank you Tareq Taylor and Micael Bindefeld AB for a pleasant and fun event!

Johnnie Walker product launch

During the fall the charming people of Johnnie Walker decided to host a product launch party at Nour for their new flavour Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami, which is a limited edition crafted by Emma Walker and the renowned Japanese chef Kei Kobayashi. Umami being a japanese word to describe the “fifth taste”, they decided to pair their new whiskey with our Nour cuisine. The evening was truly special, thank you Johnnie Walker!

Engelbert evening

The beautiful and well-renowned Engelbert, with a tradition of over a hundred years of Swedish jewelry manufacturing, stood as the sender and was received for a magical evening at our restaurant.

Nour’s space was used on this occasion as a showroom, and Engelbert’s products were seamlessly integrated as part of Nour’s interior.

Omega lunch

We had the pleasure of hosting the legendary Swiss watchmakers of Omega for lunch at Nour earlier this year. Nour was decorated in flowers and beautiful omega brand pieces.

The entire team at Nour was also given Omega watches to wear during service which everyone enjoyed. As you can see in the pictures, the restaurant is malleable for these type of events with it’s three different rooms and apt size.
